Michael A. Salvadore, Jr., ASA, CEA, MPPA

Michael serves as the President of the Boston Chapter of the American Society of Appraisers. Prior to his election as President of the Boston Chapter Michael was Treasurer of the Chapter.  Michael has numerous advanced accreditations and designations appraisal associations including Accredited Senior Appraiser- Machinery & Technical Specialties (ASA M&TS) from the American Society of Appraisers, a Certified Equipment Appraiser (CEA) from the Association of Machinery & Equipment Appraisers, (AMEA), and Master Personal Property Appraisers (MPPA) from the National Auctioneers Association. Michael has been published numerous times on subjects relating to valuation.

Currently, Michael is President Kingfish Capital Advisors, LLC is a professional appraisal firm that values commercial and industrial equipment for a broad scope of clients, President of Salvadore Auctions, Inc. a full service commercial and industrial auction and liquidation firm, President of NatJac Capital, LLC a private equity firm with investments in real estate and wine importing and is a General Partner in David Andrews LLC a private equity investment firm specializing in rehabilitating distressed assets.

Michael is a member of the American Society of Appraisers, the Association of Machinery & Equipment Appraisers, the National Association of Professional Appraisers, the National Auctioneers Association, the National Ground Water Association, National Drilling Association, the Manufacturing Jewelers and Silversmith of America, Inc., the Turnaround Management Association, and the American Bankruptcy Institute. Michael has served on the Information and Publications Committee of the National Ground Water Association has been a Contributing Editor to the Water Well Journal, the National Drilling Association, and the World-Wide Drilling Resource Magazine. Michael was a Director, Incorporator and Secretary of the Attleboro Providence Jewelry Network Inc., a member owned network dedicated to the global competitive improvement of its’ member companies. He was Treasurer and a long serving member of the Board of Directors of the Manufacturing Jewelers and Suppliers of America (MJSA), the largest global trade organization for the jewelry manufacturing industry and was Incorporator and Past President of the Metal Findings Manufacturers Association Inc. a national trade association representing metal stamping entities. He was Treasurer and Director of the Massachusetts State Auctioneers Association (MSAA) and Co-Founder and President of the Rhode Island State Auctioneers Association. His broad business knowledge led him to become a Commissioner and Treasurer of the Rhode Island Resource Recovery Corporation, the nation’s 23rd largest waste management company.

Michael is a trained machinist toolmaker who began cutting metal a very young age working in a family tool & die business. He has owned and operated several successful manufacturing businesses. He still retains his machinist and welding skills to this day.

Michael is a Graduate of the University of Rhode Island College of Business. He coaches youth lacrosse and flag football in his hometown Narragansett, RI.

Warren Morss has over 40 years of experience in the Jewelry Industry and related fields. He has worked in Wholesale and Retail Sales of loose and mounted diamonds, watches, and designer Jewelry. His clients consist of Banks, Attorneys, Insurance Companies and private individuals. He holds a Graduate Gemologist (GG) degree from the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) and an Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) designation from the American Society of Appraisers. As partner in charge of business valuation and litigation support, Jack holds the designation “Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA)” issued by the American Society of Appraisers. ASA is an international organization of appraisal professionals and is the oldest and only major appraisal organization representing all of the disciplines of appraisal specialists.  This accreditation requires a minimum of 5 years of full-time equivalent appraisal practice along with testing, peer review and adherence to the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice.  Jack also holds the designation “Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV)”, an accreditation that recognizes special training, testing and qualification in business valuation by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).  Additionally, he holds the designation “Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA)”, an accreditation that recognizes special training and qualification in business valuation and adherence to the standards established by the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts (NACVA).

Jack has performed business valuations for numerous purposes including estate planning and gifting, divorce litigation, C Corporation to S Corporation conversions, mergers and acquisitions, bank financing, buy-sell agreements, shareholder disputes, various employee stock ownership plans, and purchase price allocations under FASB 141.  Some of the major industries have included manufacturing, distribution, service, retail/wholesale, government contractors, construction and family limited partnerships holding investment assets.

He is a frequent lecturer at various seminars sponsored by the Rhode Island Bar Association and the Rhode Island Society of CPA’s and is an instructor for Conflict Resolution Training, Inc. (a mediation training firm).   He has also co-authored a chapter for MCLE New England (Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education). Jack has been qualified as an expert witness and has testified in both Superior and Family Courts.  He has also been appointed Special Master by the court to assist in settlement of cases before the court.

VICE PRESIDENT

Allyson Lee, ASA

Ms. Lee received her Master of Arts degree in Art from Eastern Illinois University after receiving her Bachelor of Arts degree in Art and Marketing from Salem State University.   After working as a curatorial assistant at the Tarbell Arts Center and teaching Form and Design to undergraduates at Eastern Illinois University, she began her professional career in the Antiques and Fine Art profession in 1989, at Grogan & Company, a Boston based auction and appraisal firm.  In 2005, she was promoted to the position of Director of Fine Arts & Marketing where she was responsible for procuring fine art consignments, gallery management, as well as overseeing the marketing operations.  Her role included researching, cataloging and valuing more than 1,000 works of art annually, as well as collaborating with collectors, museum directors, art experts, and dealers from around the world.  Her responsibilities also included appearing at Appraisal Day events as the Fine Art Expert, supervising the appraisal department, and preparing appraisals of fine art for estate and charitable donation purposes.  In addition to fine art, Ms. Lee gained significant experience working on a variety of large collections including, but not limited to, the Frederick Innes Collection of Asian Decorations, the D.D. Ryan Collection of Modern Furniture and Couture, A Room with a Vieux Collection of French Furniture, Peter Gomes Collection, The Eli Buck Collection of Curiosities and Scientific Equipment and the Jacob Noble Collection of Art Glass and Contemporary Art. 

Since establishing her firm, Ms. Lee has valued over $20,000,000 in fine art and residential contents for her clients.  In addition to appraising, she has worked with several New England auction houses as a freelance fine art cataloguer and research consultant, including Skinner, Inc., John McInnis Auctions, Morphy’s (formerly James D. Julia) and Copley Fine Art.   She currently serves as personal curator for several private collections that encompass art and antiques of all types, including a collection of early American portraits, federal period furnishings and colonial silver from a prominent New York family and an extensive art and antique collection from a prominent Newport and New York family.  

Committed to the preservation of historic homes and their objects, she is a member of The National Society of the Colonial Dames of America in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts where she volunteers as collections manager of the Dorothy Quincy Homestead.   She also recently concluded a two-year term on the Board of Governors of Gore Place, the historic Waltham home of former Massachusetts Governor Christopher Gore; and she is a member of the Massachusetts Chapter of the Society of Mayflower Descendants.   

A former associate member of the Boston Estate Planning Council, Ms. Lee works closely with several prominent law firms, wealth managers and insurance brokers, as well as private collectors, and institutions in the Greater Boston area and throughout New England.  She has conducted several speaking engagements, including  “The Art of Appraising” at the Rotch-Jones-Duff House; “Tangible Property Valuation for Estate Professionals” at the Boston Estate Planning Council; “Art & Antique Discoveries: Why it is good to get your estate in order” at the Merrimac Valley Estate Planning Council.” 

She is a member in good standing of the American Society of Appraisers, where she currently serves as secretary of the Boston Chapter.
